Dear Veteran Supporter,
Every day in Indian River County, veterans who once stood ready to defend our naon face challenges no hero should
endure—housing instability, food insecurity, financial hardship, and the lasng emoonal effects of service. At Voices for
Veterans of Indian River County, we believe no veteran should ever feel alone, and no door should close on someone
who has sacrificed so much for our freedom.
As we prepare for our 2nd Annual Golf Tournament on March 14, 2026, we invite you to stand with us in transforming
the lives of local veterans. This event is more than a fundraiser—it is a lifeline.
Through your support, our organizaon provides essenal services, including:
Benefits filing assistance
Emergency financial crisis support
Veterans Treatment Court mentorship
Women Veterans Support Group
Combat Veterans Support Group
Addional support groups currently in
development
This year, our mission carries special urgency. We are working to purchase a home in Indian River County to serve as
transional housing for at-risk veterans. With more than 16,000 veterans in our county and no dedicated transional
housing, many are forced to wait 3-6 months or longer for HUD-VASH vouchers—oen while facing homelessness,
hunger, or crisis. We are commied to changing that reality.
One local Army veteran recently shared: “Since October, Voices for Veterans of Indian River County has been helping my
wife and me. They bent over backwards to make sure things were moving in the right direcon. With their blessing, they
helped us with so many things we desperately needed. Even when other organizaons turned us away, Voices for
Veterans refused to give up on us—even when we wanted to give up ourselves. Despite rumors, obstacles, and uphill
bales, they stood strong and stayed by our side. We will be forever grateful. Because of this organizaon, we finally
received the news from the VA we had hoped for. The impact they’ve made on us is something we will never forget. You
